Raspy voiced EVO fan Rachael Ray has taken chat show host Ellen DeGeneres’s crown for the reigning Emmy for best talk show.
Ray was grateful for the accolade: “I’m just thankful to have a job in the recession and be working,” Ray told reporters at the event’s venue, Los Angeles’s Orpheum Theater, amidst smoke filled air.
Taking the win for informative talk-shows was ex model Tyra Banks, who praised the everyday women who did not have time to fuss over their looks in her acceptance speech.

Also winning awards: “The View’s” doyennes Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd were named best talk-show hosts.
